  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp orange zest (from 1 large orange)

  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup dried cranberries

  • ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.

  • Beat in egg, egg yolk, vanilla, orange zest, and orange juice.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.

  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet. Fold in cranberries and chocolate chips.

  • Chill dough for 1 hour.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  • Scoop dough and place on sheets 2 inches apart.

  • Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are set.

  • Cool 5 minutes on pan, then transfer to rack.
