Soft, chewy, and full of holiday cheer, these cranberry orange cookies combine citrus zest, tangy cranberries, and a buttery cookie base for the perfect seasonal bite.
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 egg yolk
1½ tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp orange zest (from 1 large orange)
2 tbsp fresh orange juice
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp cornstarch
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup dried cranberries
½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg, egg yolk, vanilla, orange zest, and orange juice.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet. Fold in cranberries and chocolate chips.
Chill dough for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Scoop dough and place on sheets 2 inches apart.
Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are set.
Cool 5 minutes on pan, then transfer to rack.
Chill dough for best texture.
Freeze dough balls for make-ahead baking.
