Soft, chewy Rice Crispy Treats with festive red and green sprinkles and holiday M&Ms. A quick and fun Christmas dessert for all ages.
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10 oz mini marshmallows (about 6 cups)
1/4 cup butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
1/2 cup mini holiday M&Ms
2 tbsp red and green sprinkles
Extra M&Ms and sprinkles for topping
Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment or lightly grease.
In a large pot, melt butter over low heat.
Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract.
Fold in Rice Krispies until coated.
Let cool slightly, then stir in M&Ms and sprinkles.
Press into prepared pan with buttered hands or wax paper.
Decorate with more M&Ms and sprinkles.
Cool completely before cutting.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Add crushed peppermint or drizzle chocolate for variation.
Use cookie cutters to shape into trees, stars, or wreaths.
