A festive twist on a classic cocktail, this Spiced Christmas Margarita blends tequila, cranberry juice, citrus, and warming spices into a holiday-perfect drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz reposado tequila

  • 1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Grand Marnier)

  • 1 oz unsweetened cranberry juice

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • 0.75 oz spiced simple syrup

  • Cinnamon-sugar, for rim

  • Cranberries, lime wheel, rosemary sprig (optional garnish)

    Spiced Simple Syrup:

    • 1 cup water

    • 1 cup sugar

    • 2 cinnamon sticks

    • 4 cloves

    • 3 slices fresh ginger

Instructions

  • Make the syrup: Simmer water, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger for 10 minutes. Cool and strain.

  • Rim glasses: Run a lime wedge around the rim and dip in cinnamon-sugar.

  • Shake: In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine tequila, liqueur, cranberry juice, lime juice, and syrup. Shake until chilled.

  • Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.

  • Garnish with cranberries, lime, and rosemary if desired.

Notes

  • Make a big batch by scaling the recipe 8x for a pitcher.

  • Keep syrup refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

  • Use pomegranate juice instead of cranberry for a variation.
