A festive twist on a classic cocktail, this Spiced Christmas Margarita blends tequila, cranberry juice, citrus, and warming spices into a holiday-perfect drink.
2 oz reposado tequila
1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
1 oz unsweetened cranberry juice
1 oz fresh lime juice
0.75 oz spiced simple syrup
Cinnamon-sugar, for rim
Cranberries, lime wheel, rosemary sprig (optional garnish)
Spiced Simple Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
3 slices fresh ginger
Make the syrup: Simmer water, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger for 10 minutes. Cool and strain.
Rim glasses: Run a lime wedge around the rim and dip in cinnamon-sugar.
Shake: In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine tequila, liqueur, cranberry juice, lime juice, and syrup. Shake until chilled.
Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
